My name is Tarja Lofqvist and I live outside a little village called Hauho. It is near Tampere. At first I was breeding Cockerspaniels with my twinsister Marjut. Our kennel name was Carmilhan. Then we bred also Clumberspaniels, and I must mention one of our breedings: Carmilhan Applesauce Man, who was very successful Clumberspaniel in Finland. 
   

How I met dandies was a pure co-insidence. My friend had one, and during about two years I wondered what an earth was this little rough coated, long bodied and low legged fellow?! I had never seen a dog like that before. Then I get to know it and I just had to have one of my own. 

I took a pepper bitch called Elsa, officially Marfidal Emergecy Exit. Elsa tought me how to live with a Dandie...yes, it is different to live with a dandie than with other dogs. ;-) Elsa was a great personality! 

My first dandie-litter was born in 1994. It was also a Carmilhan litter. At that time we bred under same kennel name with my twin sister Marjut. Then later I had my own affix. Second dandie-litter was born in 1996 and it was the first Galbaras litter.

About my kennel name - Galbaras. I chose it from the book of legends and it comes from a fairy tale where is a tree of wisdom. This tree is called "Galbaras". It grows in a land of bored people, in a secret place, and only a few knows where and how to find it.
